The adventure starts in 1984, the 205 T16 begins with five rallies in theWorld RAlly Championship to find its point of reference, and finish with three victories with Ari Vantanen.

She later wins the championship with Timo Salonen who is also titled driver champion after her first full season in competition.

The 205 T16 Rally goes to win the manufacturer and driver titles in the World Rally Championship in 1985 and 1986.

 

With a new goal on the horizon, the 205 T16 Rally Raid Paris-Dakar is adapted for the difficult conditions of the desert. She wins the Dakar and the Pharaos Rally with Ari Vatanen in 1987.

 

The following Dakar edition is also won with the 205 T16 this time, this Juha Kankkunen in command.

Finally, a version of the 205 T16 takes on the greatest hill climb in the world in July 1987, Pikes Peak.

Following the accomplishements of 205 T16, the 405 T16 is born in 1988 with similar mechanics designed for the African Rally Raids. She stamps history with her success after a double podium in the 1989 and 1990 Paris-Dakar rallies.

A lightened chassis, and changes made to the reservoir and engine, a sophisticated Pikes Peak version of the 405 T16 driven by Ari Vatanen wins the renowned hill climb in 1988 and 1989.

The Peugeot 306 Maxi marks Peugeot’s return to the front line in rally following the Group B era and the 205 T16. With Gilles Panizzi and François Delecour at the wheel, she goes to win numerous rallyes in the French Championship and two titles with Panizzi in 1996 and 1997.

The Peugeot 306 Maxi also made official appearances in the World Rally Championship from 1996 to 1998 on tarmac.

The 206 WRC made its debut in WRC at the Tour de Course 1999 with François Delecour and Gilles Panizzi. She acccumulated a total of 25 victories, 3 manufacturer titles (200, 2001, 2002), and two driver titles with Marcus Grönholm in 2000 and 2002.

The 908 HDi FAP, one of the greatest successes in prototype racing.

The Peugeot 908 HDi FAP won 20 of the 32 races she was entered in. Victorious of the Le Mans Series in 2007, she also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2009.

Engine: V12 (diesel), 700-800 HP

 

Her successor, the Peugeot 908 equipped with a V8 engine and 550 horse power competed on the international stage taking to the track for the first time at Sebering, in March, 2011 and in some of the most prestigious competitions.
